I am now going into the clinical twice a week for ultrasounds and OB visits. Babies are doing great. They are very active and you can see them moving in my tummy! Baby C weight is 3lbs 13oz, Baby B weight is 3lbs 8oz and Baby A is the peanut of the group weighing 2lbs 13 oz. We have to keep a close eye on Baby A as she is growing at a smaller rate. Her abdominal size is in the 8th percentile which is very low so we want to make sure she does not go into any distress. Everything else looks great on her but they will be watching her closely. Baby B kidneys have been a little concern throughout the pregnancy but it looks like they are doing just fine and nothing to worry about, just monitor.
We have been so blessed and hoping to make it to at least 34 weeks! They will deliver me at 36 weeks if the triplets decide to stay in me that long! They gave me 2 Betamethasone shots which is a steroid to help advance babies lungs, digestive tract, and brain just in case they decide to come early.
Keep praying for these miracles!

First Hospitalization
Mike and I have been extremely lucky that we have not been in the hospital yet with the triplets. Starting on Monday the 25th I was having extreme left sided pain. It happened 3 times lasting about an hour. It was a very hard day. Tuesday I had another attack and was scared something was wrong. My friend Cindy and Grandma Purfeerst went with me to UMMC Riverside to get check out. They admitted me for observation and monitored my contractions. Mike later met us in the hospital after work. I was in for a total of 8 hours and was luckily discharged by 9pm. The left sided pain went away and not sure what was causing the pain. I was having contractions but that is normal at 30 weeks with triplets. I had an ultrasound and babies looked great, no distress! Mike and I were so relieved. They ended up doing some tests and everything was coming back normal! We went home that night feeling like it was a reality check for us and getting nervous for the real event.

Pre-term labor: 27 weeks
Mike received 4 tickets to the Wild Hockey game and I told him he better go with some buddies as I am not sure how many more nights he has out with the guys! My dad was staying with me and we went out for supper. I started to have some contractions but this happens occasionally so I wasn't worried. We got home and I started noticing that they were coming every ten minutes. I told my dad to keep writing down the time of each contractions and start giving me water. I drank about 4 mugs of water and after an 2 hours I called the on call doctor. She mentioned that I may be in labor and if I continue in the next hour to have them every 10 minutes to come into the hospital. I had a serious talk with the triplets and poor Mike was going out of his mind being away from me at the time. I had 2 more contractions within the 10 minute time frame and then 1 in 30 minutes. After that they went away. I ended up just resting and keeping myself hydrated. They figured I was dehydrated and it brought on preterm labor. Boy was that a close call.

6 Months Pregnant
March 10th we are 6 months pregnant! Hard to believe! Daddy Mike has been taking good care of us! This was a big month for us. I finished my last class for Grad school on March 30th and was able to stop working. I have been working from home online but I have been fortunate to have a replacement at work for me until the end of the school year. On March 16th, I developed gestational diabetes which has been an adjustment. Mike is doing a great job cooking for us four. I joined the Minnesota Valley Mothers of Multiples and have meet some wonderful women that have had triplets. It is so helpful hearing their stories and know it is possible. My cousin also has 10 year old triplets! Her daughter Jenna (one of the triplets) was our flower girl in our wedding. She stated to me that is what you get for having a triplet in your wedding!!!
The babies are growing great and doing very well. Baby A weight is 1lb 3oz, Baby B weight is 1lb 5 oz. and Baby C weight is 1lb 6 oz.
